Perry Township Planning Commission

Present: Joe Ocenasek, Larry Place, Walt Saxton, & Sandra Michalek

Absent: Scott Smith & Christopher Price

Guest: Cyndy Saxton

 

Vice Chairman, Joe Ocenasek called the meeting to order.

 

W. Saxton moved, second by Place to approve the August minutes.  Carried

 

Michalek moved, second by W. Saxton to approve the agenda.  Carried

 

Election of officers:  Ocenasek moved, second by Place to nominate Walter Saxton as Chairman; Larry Place as Vice Chairman; and Sandra Michalek, Secretary.  Roll Call:

Ayes: Ocenasek, Saxton, Place, & Michalek.  Carried

 

The DDA plans to extend their area and the time limit for plans that haven’t been accomplished as of yet.  The DDA expires soon.

 

The seven lots discussed in August in Forest Green will be at the County level.  However, there has been a letter from the Eyde brothers that they do no want their lots rezoned from Commercial.  It was determined by the Planning Commission to let the County make the final decision.  It was felt to leave those lots Commercial in a subdivision would be considered spot zoning.

 

Two text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance were received from the County.   One was concerning signage for Home Occupations & the other was Campground Fencing.

 

It was requested that the Planning Commission minutes be put on the Township website.

 

Saxton moved, second by Place to adjourn.  Carried
