The meeting was called to order with the pledge to the flag. All board in attendance.
Parmalee moved, second by P. Michalek to approve the agenda. Carried
Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to accept the February minutes. Carried
SSESA reported there were 21 runs in Perry Twp. for January & a total of 142 yearly runs.
There were 170 calls in the township by the Sheriff’s Dept., 58 of which were traffic stops.
DDA is still getting bids for expansion work.
S. Michalek moved, second by Hammond to approve the financial statement and pay the bills. Ayes, Grinnell; Hammond; P. Michalek; S. Michalek, & Parmalee. Carried
There were 391 voters at the Perry School Election held Feb. 22nd. 226 voted in favor of the millage and 163 voted against. The bond issue passed. There will be a Morrice Village ambulance assessment election held on May 3rd.
P. Michalek moved, second by S. Michalek to adopt the federal poverty guidelines used in the determination of Poverty Exemptions for 2010. Ayes: Hammond, P. Michalek, S. Michalek, Parmalee, & Grinnell. Carried
S. Michalek moved, second by P. Michalek to appoint Beth Andrus as a Board of Review alternate, if needed. Carried
Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to set the date of April 6, 2011 at 7 PM for a public hearing on the Clifford Fields Special Assessment to raise the assessment to $45 per lot for street lighting. Ayes: P. Michalek, S. Michalek, Parmalee, Grinnell, & Hammond. Carried
Mr. Griffith was present to discuss the ditching on Beardslee Rd. It was decided to include this in the road projects for 2011.
The rest of the meeting the board discussed the revenues and expenditures of the 2011-2012 budget. There will be a budget work session on Mar. 9th at 6 p.m.
