The Supervisor called the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag.
Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to approve the agenda. Carried
Parmalee moved, second by Peg. Michalek to approve the July minutes adding Old M-78. Carried
Dep. Schmidt reported 191 calls for July with 60 being traffic stops.
SSESA had 16 runs in Perry Twp. with a total of 125 so far this year. 854 runs have been made for all municipalities this year.
Zoning: One new house building permit: a swimming pool, deck, & porch; 2 home demolishing permits issued.
DDA will meet this month to decide if they want to renew the plan.

Correspondence: Letter from Bill Morris in favor of the Park & Rec. Plan. Letter from Dori Boertman soliciting funds for fireworks for the Perry Fest.
Recycling: Hammond attended the Village meeting to answer their questions and explain the program. Robert Knowlton & Christine Williams are steering committee representatives for the Village and they will try the program for 6 months. Joanne O’Berry will represent Perry City. Troy will attend the meeting to discuss setting up the funding for the program.
Comm. Pavlica: The SCOA millage passed making Morrice the 3rd Senior Center in the County. He passed out the ordinance to license pawnbrokers. County facilitated bonding for the Mental Health Building. They are running the children’s sensory clinic for autistic children & adults. Judge Lostracco ruled in favor of the County in the V. A. appointee lawsuit.
The Road Commission removed 10 trees on Britton Rd. at no cost to the township. Bath Rd. repair contract has been signed ($24,000). Parmalee moved, second by Hammond to spend $700 to remove the trees on Ruess Rd. All ayes
11 petitions for qualified errors were presented to the summer Board of Review.
There has been an error in zoning at Forest Green subdivision and the County will rezone at no cost to the residents. This has to go before the township Planning Commission and township board for recommendations.
Cemetery: Disinterment permit & Applications were passed out for review. The sign at the cemetery has to be updated as well as the ordinance. There are complaints by both the Sexton & mower concerning flowers & bushes at the cemetery. They will make a list of graves in question. People have complained about the trimming.
Parmalee moved, second by P. Michalek to place ½ mill on the Nov. ballot for road improvement for 4 years. All ayes
S. Michalek moved, second by Parmalee to contribute $3,556 to SEDP for the yearly fee. All ayes
There has been interest is having a marihuana distribution center in the Industrial Park. County Planning is researching this before issuing any permits. They are not listed in the zoning ordinance even though the State passed the law permitting them.
Clerk reported 725 people voted in the Primary Election. 347 voted in Precinct 1 and 378 voted in Precinct 2.
Parmalee moved, second by S. Michalek to pay $89 for any interested board member to attend the District meeting on Oct. 6th in Frankenmuth. All ayes
P. Michalek moved, second by Grinnell to contribute $2000 for fireworks with the same terms as last year’s agreement to the City of Perry for the Perry Fest in September. All ayes
